Makers of fine whisky since 1884.
Originally sold in a distinctive black bottle with a white label, the brand was referred to as “That black & White whisky”.
James Buchanan officially renamed his blend in 1904.
The idea for the brand’s worldwide recognized motif, two highland terriers, was conceived after Buchanan’s return from a dog show in the 1890’s.
Today Black & White remains consistent with James Buchanan’s intention; thanks to a blend of 35 malt and grain whiskies it has a unique smooth and mild taste, while still retaining the essential body and flavor of scotch.
